My name is Alana Hadley and I am a 16 yr old 10th grade student at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, NC. I am a competitive distance runner which gives me the opportunity to do some pretty cool things, go some pretty cool places and have some pretty cool adventures.
I have a passion for the longer races (half marathon and marthon) and my goal/dream is to one day be a professional marathon runner and represent the United States well in the Olympics and other major races.
I am a member of the 2016 U.S. Marathon Trials Project as I work towards making my goals and dreams a reality, starting with competing in the 2016 Olympic Trials in the marathon.
So far my personal bests are: 16:51 for the 5k, 34:59 for the 10k and 1:16:41 for the half marathon.
